Bradley has a lot of exciting projects coming up and one of them is the untitled ‘Chef’ project. Variety was the first to report that Bradley was in talks for the project along with Omar Sy (“The Intouchables”) and director Derek Cianfrance last year.
“We’ve been talking about this project. I want to do it. It’s a beautiful story. And I love cooking,” Cooper told RTL in fluent French.
Cooper suggested that if he were to star in the film it wouldn’t lense in the coming months. “I’m going to make another film in March and after that I think I’m going to take a break and stay in Paris for Roland Garros,” the French Open tennis tournament set in late May.
Ascot Elite Entertainment Group acquired “Chef” rolling off the AFM and will distribute in Switzerland.
Cianfrance dropped out of the project late last year and director John Wells (“August: Osage County”) joined the movie earlier this year. It’s not yet announced if Omar Sy officially signed on. The movie hit the Cannes market in May of this year and Bradley formally confirmed to star in the movie. The following plot was revealed:
Bradley plays a Paris chef named Adam Jones, who destroys his wunderkind status in a blaze of decadence and out of control behavior. He cleans up and returns to Paris sober, determined to redeem himself by spearheading a top restaurant that can gain three Michelin stars.
The script is written by Steven Knight. It’s not yet announced when the production will start.
